BUSINESS OWNERSHIP

The world of amateur sports at the high school and college level is not only exciting but it is also big business. The success of American college athletic programs, in all sports and at all levels, is directly related to the kinds of prospects each college recruits. Recruiting is the key element in college athletics. Finding and getting complete scouting information on all the best prospects for their individual programs could be the most important part of a college coach's job. However, all coaches are severely restricted in their recruiting efforts because of NCAA rules, limited recruiting budgets, manpower and time constraints. This is where our company, National Scouting Report, comes into the picture. We are a professional scouting organization that locates and gathers information on potential college athletic prospects in the U.S. and international regions throughout the world. We provide this information, free of charge, to all the over 3,000 colleges that offer athletic programs in over 30 different sports. This is an invaluable service to college coaches and an important part of college recruiting. However, our main mission is to help qualified prospective student-athletes to get recognized and evaluated by all the nation's colleges. We provide extensive scouting services to these athletes and we promote their abilities and qualifications to the college coaches. This not only ensures that they will not be overlooked but it also gives these kids a distinct advantage over the other prospects who are competing for the same scholarship offers. The individual families who enroll in our college athletic promotional program pay us a fee. This is where our income comes from.

Our organization is divided up into territories so that we can cover regions throughout the world when providing our services to the colleges and to the prospects who want to participate in college athletics. We license these exclusive territories to individuals who then become the owners of our business in their licensed area. Our network of licensee/owners work together with our home office to provide high school kids the opportunity to play college sports and get an athletic scholarship. It's a wonderful business with almost no downsides.

The following is a breakdown of how our business works and what you can expect as an NSR Licensee:

•  Once you have decided to purchase the license, and your territory has been agreed on, you will enter into a contract with NSR outlining all the rights and obligations of both parties.

•  You will be scheduled for a one-week training and orientation at our Birmingham, AL office where you will receive hands-on training in all aspects of our business.

•  As part of your license purchase you will be given a laptop computer, an outdoor display tent for tournaments, your own extensive business website, and many other promotional items that help in the operation and promotion of your NSR regional business. We have many very impressive tools to assist our licensees in running a successful business.

•  You will become working partners with the National Scouting Report (NSR) parent organization. Your only job is to scout for potential prospects and offer all those who qualify our college promotional program that will provide them with the opportunity for a college athletic scholarship. This is the most fun and exciting part of our business. In effect, you are a professional college scout representing every college in the country. Of course, this carries a lot of clout and prestige.

•  Our most popular college promotion program is our Elite program. The services are outlined in our Web site, and as you can see, they are very extensive. Families can pay for the service through credit cards or finance it directly through NSR – no one is turned down for financial reasons.

•  You will locate prospects for our service by attending or sponsoring various tournaments, going to high school games and practices, attending club or travel team events, talking with coaches and just following up with interested people who contact you directly.

•  All college promotions are the responsibility of NSR. This is our job and not something that you have to be involved with.

•  Your income is based on the number of people that you enroll into our program. Ours is not the kind of business that requires a hard sell. Prospects and their families are eager to gain the advantage for getting a college scholarship and they want to make sure they aren't left out. Consequently, our service is very attractive to them. If you enroll just two prospects per week into our program your income would be $130,000 annually. This is almost 100% profit to you. Of course, working a little longer and seeing a few more prospects could double this amount.

•  You will be given a very large territory so that you will have room to expand for the next few years without any additional investment. By hiring independent scouts to work the area you can greatly increase its potential – and your income.

•  Competition is almost non-existent. There are some other companies in the scouting business but we are the main players in the industry that we founded and pioneered. No other company comes even close to our credibility, influence or know-how.

The History of Athletic Scouting Companies

The interest in athletic scouting at the high school level for college sports is becoming increasingly popular. In fact, for someone looking for a good business opportunity, franchise, or business investment, an established scouting service or recruiting service may be a smart investment. Recruiting for college sports is big business whether you’re talking about football, basketball, baseball, or some of the minor sports like softball, soccer, volleyball, and golf. For the high school athlete who wants to play college sports and have an opportunity for an athletic scholarship, he or she is now often turning to an expert for help. College scholarships are not easy to get and high school athletes who are considered college prospects are finding that a sports marketing professional is more help than the high school coach or the college coach. In 1980 the founder of National Scouting Company, Bob Rigney, pioneered a unique sports business industry by starting the very first company devoted to college recruiting. His prior involvement with high school sports, booster clubs, International sports, coaching, sports camps, fine arts scholarships, and college sports gave him the expertise to start a sports company of this type. Today, the industry is viewed as a vital and necessary part of the college recruiting industry. It has attracted the interest of professionals involved in business sales, business licensing, corporations for sale, sales jobs, and even venture capital companies interested in International investments involving International athletes. This multi-million dollar industry now involves over 3,000 colleges with over 30 different sports programs, over 20,000 high schools, over seven million high school athletes, and more than 25,000 college coaches. National Scouting Report has offices throughout the United States and in several International locations throughout the world.

The competition for scholarships is so fierce now that smart families are going to extra means to ensure their child has an advantage over the other prospects. This means they are prime prospects for the National Scouting Report program. Our business will boom because of this, and we expect phenomenal success for all our licensees. If you are seriously considering investing in a National Scouting Report license you very likely have chosen the perfect business at the perfect time.
